This years summer series kicks off with a trial on the 20th of January and will incorporate a weekend at Westport for the mighty Denniston trail ride.This must be the must do event of the year. We all had an absolute ball last year even though the weather was extreme. See the details on Pioneer website for this. Note entry to the trail ride is free.
The trail ride is followed up by the Ihatove trial in Nelson which every one agrees is a cracker event. This is not a Pioneer event but run by Non Stop Adventure. A good ride even for classics and clubmen.
The 24th sees us back in Christchurch for the second round of the summer series before riding the first round of the South Island Champs on March the 10th. Twin shocks has become a big class in the champs now, so if you dont have a modern, drag out your trusty twin shock. The last round of the summer series will hopefully be at the Hurunui property with section 11 being at the Hurunui hotel with hopefully a meal to follow. This will be a good time to bring the boss out and make it a late trip home.
