Well a huge rock slide blocking Arthurs Pass couldn’t stop the run. We rode halfway to the planned lunch stop and then rode back again to Kirwee for prize giving. Had a strong head wind to Sheffield Pie Shop, then heavy rain to lunch stop. Heavy rain on the way back until Porters Pass and a big tail wind and sunshine from there on to the finish.
My fund raising total is $2442 which I am over the moon with, although puts pressure on to beat that in 2 years time. The scooter made it up Porters Pass this year which made my day, no walk of shame this year. And on the way back got 80km/h out of it down Porters Pass. Not bad on small wheels……………..
And I took out 2nd prize in the ‘Best Dressed FEMALE’ category……………!!!!!!! Funny story there.
