The Club will be participating in the Ironman 4×4 Motor Trials Event at Carney’s Road, Alford Forest. This is a very good promotional opportunity for the Club because several thousand spectators are expected to attend.
We will be setting sections and riding some laps like a trial so the spectators can see what trials is about. Some of the sections will be on a hillside and there will also be a couple of display sections in a flat paddock so the spectators can have a closer view.
The aim of this is a fun day to promote the Club. There is a possibility that we can also set 2 or 3 sections that won’t be viewable by spectators. These would purely be to make a better day out for the riders and, if allowed, will give us access to some wooded and/or creek/rock sections
It would be great to have riders from different grade levels taking part in this event, but it’s not suitable for a new rider who hasn’t ridden in a trial before.
