This trial is for expert riders and there will be 16 sections ridden two times. The winner will receive the NZ Experts trophy which is normally contested on day 1 of the New Zealand Trials Championship. The trial will be held in Wellington and run by the Ixion, who offered to host it after the nationals at Alexandra were cancelled.
There will also be eight B-line sections for confident intermediate riders and on Sunday there will be a junior training school.
For a number of years the NZ Experts was held at a different time to the NZ Trials Championship so having it as a separate event this year is a return to how it was run in the past.
