South Island Championship results

Rounds 3 & 4 of the South Island Trials Championship were held in testing conditions due to the weather. On Saturday there was hail and rain and it snowed on the hilltop above Kaituna Valley. On Sunday it rained all day at Western Valley.  Conditions were difficult for the riders with the rain making the rocks and hills very slippery, and in places there was thick mud.  Eight riders from the North Island made the trip down to compete in the event and there were riders from Southland, Otago and Nelson as well as the local Canterbury riders.  The daily results and the results for the South Island series are on the past results page
